Welcome to 2015!  This year I challenge you to attend more concerts. Experiencing live music does not compare to listening to music on your ipod, computer or in your car! Below are some links to groups here in San Diego. Hopefully I will see you at one of these events!

So I found this article on the effect of playing a musical instrument on brain function and I wanted to share that with the parents of my students.

Why Classical Music?

Welcome to 2014.

As we make our way into 2014, I have been working on lesson plans and practicing with my quartet.  I stumbled upon this TED Talk that I wanted to share with my students and parents.  As you watch this video, take notice to the impact that small changes can make on the music, even including "one buttock playing."

TED Talk

Let us talk about this in your next lesson or at one of my Quartet Nouveau concerts this February.
